Teaching Philosophy

I am a trained classical pianist with 12 years of teaching experience. There is no greater reward than watching my students develop their skills. I strive to bring out the best in my students. I believe in engaging and challenging them to achieve their full potential.

My students focus on a few different pieces of music at a time from different styles/genres. I make it a point to incorporate exercises to enhance their technique. In addition, my students study music theory, sight reading, and ear training. These elements are essential. My students are encouraged to participate in group classes and performance opportunities throughout the year. 

My goal is to foster a positive learning environment for each of my students, and give them the tools they need for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
